View details about an individual asset

Updated over a week ago

You can find essential information about your refrigeration unit on the Asset Details screen, such as a temperature chart, a route replay map, and historical data. This view can give you a complete understanding of the asset's health and history.

In this article:

Asset Details Header

The Asset Details screen provides a view of the history of an individual refrigeration asset. This screen can be accessed by clicking on an asset name from the asset tracking or electric assets list or by several other methods.

Once on the Asset Details page, you will see a header containing basic information about the asset.

  • Asset Name

  • Company Name

  • Fleet - if associated with multiple fleets, then multiple names will be shown

  • Asset Location - reverse geocoded address based on GPS location

  • Last Updated Time - last time data was received from the telematics device

  • TRU Model

  • TRU Serial Number

If your asset supports 2-way Commands, a 2-way Command button will be available in the header. Click this button to open the 2-Way Command pop-up. Read Two Way Commands and Command History to learn more about these commands.

Temperature

Temperature Chart

The Temperature Chart shows the fluctuations in temperature as measured by the sensors in your asset over time. Below the temperature line chart is an event bar chart which shows corresponding events for the same timeline as the temperature chart. You can choose a specific date range or one of the preset options of 24 hours, 48 hours, or seven days.

Hover over the charts to see details for each point in time. If there is data where you place your mouse, a tooltip will appear.

Show/hide lines or bars in the charts using the legend on the right side of the temperature chart. Hover your mouse over any data point to reveal the eye icon and show or hide a data point based on your preference.

After hiding specific metrics, you can save the view for later use. Click the Saved Views drop-down to save a view and select Save Current View.

Click and drag on the Temperature line chart to zoom in to a shorter point in time. The area you highlight and zoom into will also update the event bar chart time frame below. To reset the view, click the "Zoom Out" button on the top right corner of the card.

Temperature Table

Below the temperature and events chart is a table view of the temperature history and events. The contents of this table can be exported to Excel or CSV.

Create a Report

You can click the Create a Report button to generate a shareable version of the temperature report. The customizable report allows you to control the data included in the PDF report (see image below). To learn more about this report, read Creating a Temperature Report.

Battery Details

The Battery Details tab will be displayed if the asset is an electric asset. This tab helps gain insight into daily events that impact battery health, performance, and efficiency.

If you would like to learn more about Battery Details, you can see Understanding Electrification.

Asset History

The Asset History tab displays historical data for the asset. The most recent data is shown at the top of the list. Data for the last 24 hours is shown by default, but the time frame can be changed by clicking on one of the other options or using the date fields.

You can export the table to Excel or CSV by clicking the Export button.

Route Replay

The Route Replay tab allows you to trace an asset's route on a map. This view will enable you to see events that occurred during a trip. You can also search to identify which trips had specific events occur.

Useful information available in this tab includes:

  • Events table - Shows a history of all events and triggered alarms in chronological order, with the most recent at the top of the table. Clicking on an event sets the map focus for that point in time and opens a details tooltip on the map about the event.

  • TRU status - Moving, stationary, or offline and other details

.

Events Table

The left panel of the Route Replay tab shows a list of events that occurred during the displayed route. This shows with the most recent event at the top by default but can be sorted in the opposite order by clicking the Time column header.

This list of events can be filtered for a specific time range using the controls at the top of the tab. By default, it shows the last 24 hours.

For the given timeframe, the event list will show a Start event and an End Event, along with a series of other events that could include:

  • TRU Powered On

  • TRU Powered Off

  • Compartment (1-3) On

  • Compartment (1-3) Off

  • Defrost On

  • Defrost Off

  • Shutdown Alarm Starts

  • Shutdown Alarm Ends

  • Asset Moving

  • Asset Stationery for 15 minutes

  • Power Mode Engine

  • Power Mode Standby

  • Exited Geofence

  • Entered Geofence

  • Rear Door Opened

  • Rear Door Closed

  • Side Door Opened

  • Side Door Closed

The Event List panel can be expanded and collapsed by dragging and dropping its right edge.

Hovering over an event in the list will highlight the corresponding waypoint marker on the map.

Selecting the Sensor Menu icon in the Event list allows you to add Temperature Sensor columns to the Event List.

You can Export the table as an Excel or CSV file to share or process externally to Lynx Fleet.

Replay Map

Toggle between Street or Satellite view of the map. Changing views can help provide a valuable topological context.

Waypoint markers for events and route start and stop are displayed on the map. The map will update these markers as the event list is filtered.

Hovering over a waypoint marker on the map will highlight the corresponding event in the list.

Clicking on a waypoint marker on the map will show a tooltip with event information.

Double-clicking on this tooltip will open a pop-up with more details about the asset at the time of the event.

Click the View Temperature Details button to view the Temperature chart for the time period of this event.
