Lynx Fleet uses your profile and preferences to determine notification settings, language, and units. You can update these settings yourself by clicking on your name in the Lynx Fleet header.

Accessing User Profile & Preferences
You can access your user profile and preferences by clicking on your name in the Lynx Fleet portal header.
Clicking on your name will open the User menu.
Edit Profile
Click the Edit Profile option in the user menu to view the Edit Profile pop-up.
In this pop-up, you can edit your:
First Name
Last Name
Office Phone Number
Mobile Phone Number - This will be the destination for any SMS notifications that you are a recipient for.
You cannot edit your email address. If there is an issue with your email address, please contact Carrier at lynx-support@carrier.com.
Update User Preferences
You can view your current user preferences in the user menu. To edit your preferences, click the "Preferences" option.
The edit preferences screen will display. On this screen you can select your preferred:
Language - select from Czech, Danish, Dutch, English (UK), English (US), French, German, Italian, Norwegian Bokmål, Polish, Spanish, Swedish, and Ukrainian.
Time zone - select which timezone you would like to use for displayed dates/times.
Date format - Select one of the nine available options for how you would like your date/time fields formatted.
Default fleet - This fleet will be displayed by default in Asset Tracking
Temperature units - Select Celsius or Fahrenheit
Distance units - Select kilometers or miles
Volume units - Select liters or gallons
Speed units - Select kilometers per hour or miles per hour
To save your changes and go back to the main user menu, click on the "Preferences" header.
Notifications Settings
In the user menu, below the preferences section, you can view whether your profile currently has notifications enabled or not. To edit this notification setting click on the Notifications label in the user menu.
The Notifications settings screen will display. Here you can:
Turn on/off Email notifications
Turn on/off SMS (text) notifications
To save your changes and go back to the main user menu, click on the "Notifications" header.

External API Key
The Lynx Fleet API uses API keys to authenticate requests. Click on External API Key in the user menu to get or reset your API Key.
To authenticate your user on the API portal you will need to copy the key from this menu option and paste it into the API portal. You will also need this key if you are trying to integrate with Lynx Fleet from another application.
Keep your API key secure since it provides access to your company's information. If you suspect your API key has been compromised, request a new one by clicking New Key in the External API Key section.

Change Password
If you want to change your password or have forgotten your password, you can use the Change Password option in the user menu.
If you click Forgot your password, an email will be sent to you with instructions on how to recover access.
